Windows 11 just gave you a scary message
Following the June 26 KB5060829 Windows update, Windows 11 users are encountering a Firewall configuration error related to Windows Firewall with Advanced Security. The issue, now confirmed by Microsoft, manifests in the Event Viewer under event 2024.
The error presents as “Config Read Failed with a message of More data is available,” appearing each time the Windows device restarts, according to Microsoft.
While the error might cause concern, Microsoft states that it “can be safely ignored” because it “does not reflect an issue with Windows Firewall.”
According to Microsoft’s July 2 update, the error is “related to a feature that is currently under development and not fully implemented.” Microsoft said that the issue does not impact Windows processes and the company is “working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.”
