Samsung Exynos 2600 chip reportedly beats the Snapdragon 8 Elite

Information on Samsung’s forthcoming Exynos 2600 chipset has emerged following its delayed release. After a Geekbench (via GSMArena) listing detailed the CPU specifications, data regarding the GPU’s performance has surfaced.

An image posted by an X user displays the Exynos 2600 achieving a score of 3,135 points in 3DMark’s Steel Nomad Light benchmark. This score suggests the Exynos 2600’s Xclipse 960 GPU could perform approximately 15% higher than a device equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The benchmark results were reportedly obtained from a test bench setup. Such configurations often provide enhanced cooling, which can lead to higher raw performance compared to smartphone implementations. Furthermore, sources indicate this benchmark likely represents a preliminary version of the chipset, given its anticipated release in early 2026 alongside the Galaxy S26 series. Final clock speeds could be subject to change. The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is also projected for release by that timeframe.
