Rode launches $599 Rodecaster Video Core for budget creators

DATE POSTED:March 10, 2026
Rode launches 9 Rodecaster Video Core for budget creators

Rode launched the Rodecaster Video Core, an all-in-one studio setup aimed at budget-conscious creators expanding to HD video.

The new hardware operates entirely through the Rodecaster App and lacks physical controls, targeting users who want to broaden their production capabilities without significant investment. The system sits below the flagship Rodecaster Video and mid-range Video S in the company’s lineup.

Connectivity options include three HDMI-in ports, one HDMI-out, four USB-C ports, two 3.5mm ports, and two Neutrik combo ports. The system supports up to four simultaneous video sources via USB-C, network cameras via Ethernet, and wireless iOS feeds through the Rode Capture app.

The Core can automatically switch between video feeds based on audio inputs. This feature reduces the need for manual management during multi-person streams.

Rodecaster Sync app integration allows Rodecaster Pro 2 or Duo audio consoles to connect to the Video Core. Users can set shortcuts directly to pads and control both audio and video from a single desk.

The system streams directly to YouTube, Twitch, and other platforms. It records footage to external drives and outputs EDL files for DaVinci Resolve via a new firmware update across the product range.

The update also enables importing non-standard resolution and aspect ratio media, such as square social media footage. The system automatically scales and optimizes this content for broadcasts.

Rodecaster Video Core is available for pre-order at $599. The company has not confirmed a shipping date.
