Historically, global reserve currencies such as the Portuguese Real, the Spanish Escudo, the Dutch Guilder, the French Franc, the British Pound, and the US Dollar maintained their status for periods of about 100 years. Each of these currencies lost their position due to economic crises, wars, excessive debt, and crucially, the removal of backing (usually gold or silver), which destroyed global trust.
In this context, we propose transforming Polkadot (DOT) into a scarce, predictable, partially backed, and neutral asset with the potential to become a global digital reserve.
