Premier League Fixtures spark betting odds on top three

DATE POSTED:June 24, 2025
The English Premier League trophy

The Premier League fixtures have been announced to much fanfare, and the odds are showing early indicators of the teams in the mix for the 2025/26 title.

Liverpool will be looking to recreate the success of the previous season, Man City will be looking to bounce back after a heavy recruitment window, and the Gunners are ever in the mix to place in the top four.

Betting odds spike on Premier League winner Liverpool

Liverpool are hoping to retain the Premier League crown for the first time in forty-two years and are unleashing their transfer might to make it happen. In contrast to last year’s only acquisition of Federico Chiesa, the Reds have gone all out to shore up and add to their squad.

Trent left for Real Madrid, leaving a mercurial right foot and the ability to single-handedly decide games with pinpoint passing and assists. In comes former Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremy Frimpong to make the grade.

His former team-mate and Bundesliga wonder kid, Florian Wirtz, joins him for no less than $156m, and with that investment comes a sizable boon to the betting odds with the team from Merseyside 3/1 (+300) to defend their crown.

Manchester City

Man City expect to come roaring back into contention after a rough and injury-plagued 24/25 season. The club racked up the Charity Shield early in a season that was meant to be business as usual.

A 3rd place PL finish, a runner-up in the FA Cup, and reaching the Champions League knockouts will never be enough for the club Pep Guardiola has put his blood, sweat, and tears into. Kevin De Bruyne makes his exit to Napoli, and Jack Grealish looks set to follow in a changing of the guard at the Etihad.

Pep always reinvents himself, and the additions of Rayan Cherki (Lyon), Tijjani Reijnders (AC Milan), and Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves) in the outfield will make a serious difference. Marcus Bettinelli (Chelsea) provides much-needed cover for Ederson.

The biggest component for Man City is the return of the talismanic Rodri, who was the 2024 Ballon d’Or and will be set on getting back to the standards and winning ways that define both the Spaniard and Guardiola. Man City are a healthy 4/1 (+400) to reach the English footballing summit in 25/26.

Arsenal

The Gunners will forever be the bridesmaids of Premier League football and have given a great account of themselves since Mikel Arteta took the helm of the North London club.

The lack of a competent striker in a league brimming with talented defenders shows, as Kai Havertz was the top scorer for the club with 9, compared to Erling Haaland’s tally of 31 goals, it makes for painful viewing for fans.

Martin Zubimendi makes the pilgrimage to the Premier League after impressing for Real Sociedad, but he watches Jorginho, Neto, Sterling, and Tierney make their way out of the club.

No key striker has been identified for the Gunners, and it looks doubtful that Havertz can lead the line in the manner of a world-class striker. Despite this, Arsenal have been priced ahead of City at 3.5/1 (+350) to take home the silverware.
