Samsung will restock the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea after the device sold out within minutes of its launch last week. Insiders informed The Chosun that new units become available on Samsung.com at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Galaxy Z TriFold launched on the 12th at 20 stores across South Korea. Demand exceeded supply immediately, with all units depleting in minutes through the online store and those physical locations. This rapid exhaustion left many potential buyers unable to purchase the tri-foldable smartphone at its introduction.
For the restock, Samsung allocates only 3,000 Galaxy Z TriFold units to the domestic South Korean market. The online replenishment targets Samsung.com specifically at the designated 10 a.m. time slot on Wednesday. Some offline stores receive an additional shipment around the same period, though the company discloses no details on which specific locations qualify for this distribution.
The device carries an official launch price of KRW 3,594,000. Following the initial sell-out, scalpers listed units on second-hand trading platforms at markups reaching up to 4 million KRW. Certain listings escalated further to as much as 10 million KRW, more than doubling the retail cost in some cases.
Samsung offers the incoming stock at the original KRW 3,594,000 price point. This approach aims to address inflated second-hand market values by providing fresh supply directly from the manufacturer.
