Intuit and Anthropic to Launch Customizable AI Agents

DATE POSTED:February 24, 2026

Intuit and Anthropic have announced a partnership that will bring customizable artificial intelligence agents to Intuit’s platform and financial tools to Anthropic’s AI products.

The companies will begin rolling out these experiences to users in the spring, they said in a Tuesday (Feb. 24) press release.

The capability to build and deploy AI agents will be enabled by the integration of Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK into the Intuit platform. This integration will allow mid-market businesses to create agents customized with skills specific to the user’s industry. No technical expertise will be required to build these agents, according to the release.

“Millions of consumers and businesses trust Intuit with their most important financial decisions,” Anthropic Chief Commercial Officer Paul Smith said in the release. “The combination of Intuit’s platform with Claude will enable Intuit customers to build and use AI agents that understand their specific industry, workflows and compliance requirements.”

The availability of financial tools within Anthropic’s AI products will be enabled by Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations with Intuit’s TurboTaxCredit Karma, QuickBooks and Mailchimp applications. These integrations will allow Claude users to access these money, tax and accounting tools within Anthropic’s CoworkClaude for Enterprise and Claude.ai, per the release.

“With Anthropic, we’re bringing the power of Intuit’s platform to unlock unrivaled benefits that are customized to the specific needs of every consumer and business, wherever they choose to get work done,” Intuit Chief Technology Officer Alex Balazs said in the release.

Intuit announced in November that it launched a partnership with another AI startup, OpenAI, that would let the users of OpenAI’s ChatGPT take “trusted, secure and accurate financial actions” through Intuit’s apps, which can be accessed within the chatbot.
