One extremely fortunate UK Lottery player could end up richer than mega pop stars such as Adele and Dua Lipa by the end of the day if their numbers come up in tonight’s record-breaking EuroMillions draw.
While it is unlikely that a winner would have the sweet, sweet tones of either, that kind of cash could certainly pay for a few singing lessons with a bit to spare. Heck, you could even employ Adele to give you the singing (and indeed swearing) lessons.
Should a single ticket scoop the prize, the jackpot the winner will collect will be an estimated £208 million, after Tuesday’s £199 million draw rolled over with no winners.
It would be the biggest winner ever on the National Lottery and put you ahead of Harry Styles and Adele in the UK Rich List, according to Sky News.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, said: “We are now on the verge of potentially creating the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen.”
Previous UK wins of £195 and £185 million – the highest to date, both were claimed within two months of each other, back in 2023
How to win EuromillionsWell, a ticket is a solid starting point. They are available in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Portugal and cost €2.50, £2.50, or CHF3.50 per line.
All winnings are tax-free (except in Spain, Portugal, and Switzerland) and the odds of winning Euromillions sit at a less than tasty 1:140 million.
Players select five numbers from 1-50 and two Lucky Stars from 1-12. To win the jackpot, you must match all seven numbers.
The lowest prize available basically gets you the price of your ticket back, and for that, you need to match two main numbers.
Good luck, and remember us if you win it!
