First things we know about Samsung’s 1,040Hz gaming monitor for 2026

Samsung introduced five new Odyssey gaming monitors, including models with 6K glasses-free 3D support and refresh rates up to 1,040Hz, ahead of CES 2026.

The company unveiled the Odyssey 3D, the Odyssey G6, and three variations of the Odyssey G8. The Odyssey 3D (G90XH), a 32-inch monitor, features 6K-resolution glasses-free 3D at up to 165Hz refresh rate and includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. This model employs real-time eye-tracking technology for 3D depth and supports a Dual Mode offering a 330Hz refresh rate and a 1ms GtG response time.

The Odyssey G6 (G60H), a 27-inch monitor, achieves up to a 1,040Hz refresh rate at HD resolution and up to 600Hz at its native QHD resolution, while supporting both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync.

The Odyssey G8 line comprises three models. The 32-inch G80HS variant offers 6K resolution and up to a 165Hz refresh rate, reaching 330Hz in 3K resolution. The 27-inch G80HF variant provides 5K resolution, a 180Hz native refresh rate, and up to 360Hz in QHD resolution. The 32-inch G80SH model features a 4K resolution QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, an anti-glare coating, 300-nit brightness, and HDR True Black 500 certification. All three Odyssey G8 models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync.

Samsung will showcase the new Odyssey Gaming monitor lineup at CES 2026; pricing and availability details remain undisclosed.
