CES 2026: Everything HP announced

DATE POSTED:January 6, 2026
 Everything HP announced

HP arrived at CES 2026 with a clear mission to redefine the boundaries between the traditional office, the home, and the gaming setup. In a sweeping presentation that touched on every aspect of their portfolio, the company introduced a radical new “keyboard PC” form factor, consolidated its gaming identity by merging OMEN into HyperX, and aggressively integrated generative AI into its printers and business laptops. The announcements highlight a future where hardware is lighter, more flexible, and increasingly defined by local AI processing capabilities that move with the user.

1. HP EliteBoard G1a reimagines the desktop as a keyboard

HP introduced the EliteBoard G1a Next Gen AI PC, a completely new form factor that effectively packs a fully functional enterprise computer into a chassis the size of a standard keyboard. Weighing just 750g, this “keyboard PC” is designed for the ultimate hybrid worker, allowing professionals to turn any monitor—whether in a hotel, a shared office, or a home workspace—into a secure, high-performance desktop instantly.

Under the hood, the device is no gimmick; it features an AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor with an integrated NPU delivering over 50 TOPS of AI performance. This ensures it can handle demanding local AI workloads and “agentic” tasks without lag. HP has also equipped it with HP Wolf Security, ensuring that despite its portable nature, it remains protected against firmware attacks and quantum threats, making it a viable replacement for traditional business towers.

In a significant strategic shift, HP announced that its two distinct gaming lines, OMEN and HyperX, are uniting under the single “HyperX” master brand. This move is designed to create a unified ecosystem where peripherals, components, and systems work together seamlessly. To inaugurate this new era, the company debuted the HyperX OMEN MAX 16, a powerhouse gaming laptop that boasts fully internal cooling technology, allowing it to run top-tier silicon like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU without thermal throttling.

Beyond traditional hardware, HyperX is pushing into the frontier of “neuro-gaming.” The company showcased a development partnership with Neurable to create a gaming headset equipped with EEG sensors. This futuristic peripheral uses AI to interpret the player’s brain activity in real-time, potentially allowing games to adapt to a player’s focus levels or helping esports athletes train their mental resilience.

HP updated its premium commercial lineup with the EliteBook X G2 Series, emphasizing unprecedented flexibility for enterprise buyers. For the first time, HP is offering the same premium chassis with a choice of processor architectures from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm. This allows IT departments to standardize on a single device look and feel while selecting the specific silicon that best fits their workflow requirements.

The flagship of this new series is the EliteBook X G2q, which HP claims is the world’s first business notebook to offer up to 85 TOPS of NPU performance, powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite. These devices are built specifically for the “AI era,” featuring smart sensing technology that optimizes battery life based on user behavior, and quantum-resistant security protocols. Despite the heavy tech capabilities, the design remains ultra-portable, with models weighing under 1kg.

For the consumer market, HP overhauled its branding and portfolio, introducing the new OmniBook Ultra 14 and OmniStudio X 27 All-in-One. The OmniBook Ultra 14 is positioned as the world’s slimmest consumer notebook with the fastest AI performance, targeting creators and freelancers who need mobility without compromising on speed.

The OmniStudio X 27, meanwhile, sets a new standard for home creatives. It is the world’s first “Neo:LED” All-in-One PC with dual 100% color coverage, offering professional-grade color accuracy for designers. To simplify the buying process, the entire consumer lineup has been streamlined into the OmniBook 3, 5, 7, and X series, providing clear tiers of performance and features for different types of users, from students to professional video editors.

HP is bridging the gap between physical paper and digital intelligence by bringing generative AI directly to the office printer. The new “HP for Microsoft 365 Copilot” integration runs directly on the touchscreen control panels of HP multifunction printers, transforming them from passive output devices into active productivity hubs.

This feature allows users to scan complex documents and immediately request AI-generated summaries, automatic file naming, and organization into specific OneDrive or SharePoint folders. It can even translate text on the fly. This integration aims to drastically reduce the manual administrative drudgery typically associated with scanning and filing paperwork, streamlining workflows for legal, medical, and corporate environments.

For IT managers struggling with distributed workforces, HP unveiled a game-changing upgrade to its Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) called “Out-of-Band Remote Connect.” This industry-first capability gives IT teams the power to remotely access and control a PC at the BIOS level, independent of the operating system’s status.

This means that even if a remote employee’s laptop suffers a catastrophic “blue screen” error or OS corruption, IT can virtually “sit” at the keyboard to diagnose and repair the issue without needing to ship the device back to a depot. Combined with new unified printer management and facility analytics that track meeting room usage, WXP is positioning itself as the central command center for the modern, hybrid enterprise.

Recognizing that the workspace is now wherever the worker is, HP launched a suite of accessories designed for mobility and health. The standout is the HP Ultra-Fast Scroll Wireless Mouse 780M, which utilizes a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery. This allows it to charge fully in just minutes and eliminates the environmental waste of disposable batteries.

The company also introduced HP Poly Studio Apps, a consolidated software hub that simplifies the management of webcams, headsets, and docks, ensuring employees look and sound their best on calls. Rounding out the lineup are travel-friendly essentials like a compact 65W GaN wall charger and a modular, sustainably sourced backpack, ensuring that the hybrid worker can carry their office with them comfortably and responsibly.
