Bally’s Casino arrives in the UK as makeover gets underway

Bally’s Casino is now open in Newcastle, England, representing the first venue for the US gambling and entertainment giant in the United Kingdom. 

Located at The Gate complex in the north-east city, Bally’s has taken over the former Asper’s Casino operation, but much more is still to come.

The new facility will remain open during extensive refurbishment with customers told to expect “a luxurious, state-of-the-art environment”. 

Bally’s Newcastle general manager David Tait told the Chronicle: “My team and I look forward to welcoming both our current and new guests, and we can’t wait to showcase everything we’ve been working on. We remain open, and guests will be able to see some exciting changes very soon.”

With the rebrand of the Newcastle casino now complete, the full makeover is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025.
